Welcome to Love Guisborough. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, loveguisborough.co.uk (“the Site”), operated by Love Guisborough (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site, creating an account or submitting a listing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About us
Love Guisborough is an online directory and events guide for Guisborough, North Yorkshire. You can contact us at [hello@loveguisborough.co.uk].
2. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to misuse it. You must not use the Site in any way that is fraudulent, harmful, or that damages, disables or impairs the Site or interferes with anyone else’s use of it.
3. Accounts
To submit listings or events you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
4. Listings and content
When you submit a business listing, event or other content, you confirm that:
- the information is accurate, lawful and up to date;
- you own or have permission to use any images, logos and text you upload;
- you have the right to advertise the business or event concerned;
- the content is not misleading, offensive, or in breach of anyone else’s rights.
You retain ownership of the content you submit, but you grant us a licence to display and promote it on the Site and our associated channels. We reserve the right to edit, decline or remove any listing or content at our discretion — for example if it is inaccurate, inappropriate or breaches these Terms. Listings may be moderated before they go live.
5. Paid plans and payments
Some listing plans are paid, as set out on our Pricing page. By purchasing a paid plan you agree to the price and billing terms shown at checkout. Paid plans are billed monthly unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Prices may change, but we will give notice of any change affecting an active subscription. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
6. Free listings for charities and clubs
Free listings for registered charities and community clubs are offered at our discretion. We may ask for confirmation of charity or club status.
7. Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep the Site accurate and up to date, but listings and events are often supplied by third parties. We cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free, and we are not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any business listed. Always check key details (such as opening hours and event times) directly with the business or organiser.
8. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or availability of those sites.
9. Intellectual property
The Love Guisborough name, logo, design and original content are our property or used under licence, and may not be copied or used without our permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from reliance on any information it contains. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continuing to use the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
